Red Floral Jersey Fitted Dress – Rosetta

Rosetta is a study in design contrast — a celebration of little roses set boldly against black, where nothing is quite as it seems.  I learned from my Italian friend that the term ‘rosetta’ means little roses, which is very appropriate for the roses within the print of this dress.  The deep red floral jersey, places the roses at the forefront of its black canvas background commanding attention. I introduced the black stretch velvet to play with contrasts and illusion, the velvet slides in-between the red basque from shoulder, to waist and hips caressing your body.

It's definitely a statement piece, Rosetta is different; to be 'different' in my opinion is to step away from the crowd and into independence, a time to be gorgeous and celebrate the face and body you see in the mirror.

Designed to support, sculpt and move with your body every detail is considered, from the long stretch sleeves which purposely flow ever so slightly beyond the natural wrist, to the subtle soft flare at the dress hem, the underlining structure a fine stretch mesh for additional support.

As I look at the finished design of Rosetta, I think of Lady’s Day at the Races or as Wedding Guest, she's the kind of dress that calls for that wide brimmed hat you've always wanted to wear, then again, there are so many other events to which a dress such as this will let the world know you have arrived!
